Internet Blackjack
Internet blackjack is a casino game that is played with one or more decks of cards. While the game of Internet blackjack may be played with multiple players or it may be played individually, the actual results of each hand of blackjack depends on the individual results how of each hand dealt compares to the dealer’s hand. This means that whether the blackjack game consists of one player or multiple players, the game of Internet blackjack is one that each individual hand competes one on one against the dealer.
Internet blackjack begins with the player receiving two cards. These two cards are dealt face up. The Internet blackjack dealer also receives two cards. However, one of the two cards is displayed facing upwards, while the second card is face down. Once the player or players and dealer have been dealt their cards, action begins with the player. The object of an Internet blackjack game is to come as close to 21 without going over. When one exceeds 21, they have busted and consequently lose the hand. In Internet blackjack, each card holds face value. This means that a player who is dealt a two and a three will have a card count of five. Tens and face cards each count as ten in Internet blackjack. While each numerical and face card holds a set value in Internet blackjack, aces are a bit more flexible than the other cards. Aces can be counted as either one or eleven in Internet blackjack.
When action falls on the player in Internet blackjack, the player has a variety of actions they can take. The Internet blackjack player may decide to stand. When you stand in blackjack, you are satisfied with your card count. Should you not be satisfied that your card count will end up better than that of the dealer’s, you may ask for an additional card. When you want an additional card in Internet blackjack, it is known as hitting or taking a hit. You may hit until you are satisfied with your card count or until you bust.
In addition to hitting or standing, a player may decide they want to double down. When doubling down in Internet blackjack, a player doubles or matches the original bet and receives one additional card. Additionally, a player who doubles down may not receive any cards beyond the one additional card. If the player wins the hand, they win double their bet. However, if they lose after doubling down, they lose their original bet plus the double down bet.
When a player is dealt a pair, such as a pair of sevens, they may choose to play the hand as is or they can split the pair. When splitting an Internet blackjack hand, each card is divided into two separate hands. Additionally, each hand requires a full bet. The hands play as individual hands and it is possible that both hands could beat the dealer, lose to the dealer, or one hand could win and the other lose against the dealer.
If a player is dealt a ten and an ace, they have made blackjack. When an Internet blackjack player makes blackjack, they are often paid out better than when they simply beat the dealer. Some Internet blackjack games pay two to one, while other Internet blackjack games pay three to two for blackjacks.
Once the player or players have completed their action, the dealer reveals his down card. While the Internet blackjack players have the flexibility to act on their hand as they see fit, the blackjack dealer is bound to specific rules when playing their hand. Most Internet blackjack games require the dealer to hit if their hand totals a sum less than seventeen. In the event the dealer holds a hand that is valued at seventeen or greater, they must stand. They have to take a hit if their hand is less than seventeen. Once the dealer has completed their action, the dealer’s hand is compared to each of the player’s hands. If the player beats the dealer, they are paid. If the dealer wins, then the player loses their bet. If the dealer has drawn to a total exceeding 21, they have busted and pay every hand that has not busted. Should a hand of Internet blackjack result in a tie, the hand is considered a push and the underlying bet does not change hands.
